| To Configure Outlook
Express 6.0 for Online2000, open Outlook Express and choose
Accounts from the Tools menu. Then, add a Mail account. |
- You need the settings for your particular domain (i.e.
Online2000.net, YourName.com, etc.).

How to Configure
Outlook Express 6.0 for aEDol |
- Open Outlook Express.

- From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

- Click the Add button and choose Mail.

- In the Display name field, type your full name.
- Click the Next button.

- In the E-mail address field, type your email address.
- Click the Next button.

- Click the down arrow on the My incoming mail is a ____ server
drop-down list and choose POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field,
type the POP3 server for your domain (ie. pop3.Online2000.net).
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type the SMTP
server for your domain (ie. smtp.Online2000.net).
- Click the Next button.

- In the Account name field, type your username.
(Usually FirstName.LastName)
- In the Password field, type your password.
- Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to
save your password.
- Click the Next button.

- Click the Finish button.

- Almost done you have three more
things to do

- Click on Properties (on
this same Internet Accounts window)

- In the [Mail
Account] field replace pop3.online2000.net with the
name you would like to use
for this account (i.e., Your Name or Account Name)
If this is a business account you should fill-in the "Organization:"
field.In the
[E-mail address: and the Reply address:] fields, type the email
address that you would
prefer others to see as your return address. Online2000 may have
given you additional email
names for example (John.Doe and JohnD and JDoe).
- Click on the
Servers Tab on this "Properties" window.

You MUST click
on "My server requires authentication"
- Click on the
Advanced Tab on this Properties Window.

At the bottom of this window under
"Delivery"
Click: "Leave a copy of messages on server" and
Click: "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted
Items'
Click OK
Click Close
Congratulations you have successfully completed your email account
setup.
